Clive Christian No. 1 Cologne by Clive Christian. Clive Christian No . 1 is a spicy men’s fragrance launched in 2001 designed with refreshing, warm notes. This sophisticated cologne opens with a touch of citrus from mandarin orange, grapefruit and lime blended with artemisia, caraway, paprika, nutmeg and cardamom. The powdery heart includes notes of ylang-ylang, lily-of-the-valley, jasmine, heliotrope, iris and rose. The base notes consist of woody sandalwood, cedar vetiver, tonka bean, vanilla, amber and musk.
The Crown Perfumery was established in 1872 when William Thomson Jr. created a smelling salt intended to revive fainted women whose corsets were too tight. Thomson’s father created corsets, and one of his clients was Queen Victoria. This royal connection gave the company its name.
The company suffered financially after World War I and was acquired by Lever Brothers. The company made a moderate revival until 1939. In 1999, English furniture maker Clive Christian bought the brand and has created new fragrances. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.
