Description
Jōvan Island Gardenia, released in 1982, transports you to an exotic garden on a tropical island. The sunny scents of coconut and peach make up the top notes. The heart notes are a fresh floral blend of tuberose, jasmine and especially gardenia. Vanilla and civet comprise the buttery base notes, adding a sweet creaminess that reminds you of drinking a pina colada on a beautiful beach. Jōvan was founded in 1968, in Chicago. Its founder, Bernard Mitchell, successfully launched top selling perfumes for more than a decade before selling the company to the Beecham Group. In the late 1980’s the company was bought again, and renamed Quintessence. Quintessence merged with Coty in the early 1990s, but the original name was retained, with many classic perfumes still sold today. All products are original, authentic name brands.
